Clean Data, Real AI

Most organizations are eager to embrace generative AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot. But if your unstructured data is disorganized, AI can’t deliver. A recent HBR article explains that AI only adds value when it draws from clean, well-tagged, trustworthy content—emails, syllabi, contracts, and meeting notes. Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) relies on that. Without it, answers are unreliable. At St. John’s College, we’re investing in quality, not just tools. GenAI won’t clean your closet. That’s our job: we need to organize, curate, and maintain our data first—and then AI follows.
