Lost Scrolls, Failing Servers
Artificial intelligence runs on vast server farms, many buried in mountains or cooled by Arctic air. In Norway, Finland, and Switzerland, fortified bunkers guard data against fire, flood, and even nuclear strike. These vaults sustain the cloud that seems weightless but is anchored in steel and stone. Yet fragility endures. Algorithms magnify errors, access can vanish behind corporate walls, and collapse may strike without warning. As in earlier posts on data stewardship, the lesson is vigilance. History reminds us what follows when knowledge is left unprotected; the Library of Alexandria fell to fire and earthquakes, leaving only myth where memory once stood.
