Mother AI

“We have no idea what they’re thinking,” Geoffrey Hinton told the One Decision podcast (Business Insider), warning AI could one day develop internal languages to “think” and “talk” beyond human understanding. Speaking at Ai4 in Las Vegas, he urged designing “Mother AI” systems with a maternal instinct to care for humanity rather than control it. The warning is already real, as I blogged earlier about AI agents exchanging messages beyond our comprehension. Yann LeCun counter‐argues that today’s AI is far “dumber” than people think and “still a long way from human‐level intelligence,” calling such fears premature (wsj.com). It makes for an important debate.
