Disney’s Carousel of Progress, a Walt Disney World ride rooted in the 1964 World’s Fair, appears poised for long-awaited change. A new Imagineering video has spotlighted its 1993 finale, where bulky VR headsets and clunky “smart” appliances have aged into kitsch. Multiple outlets now report Disney will go further, adding a new Audio-Animatronic of Walt Disney in a reimagined introduction. The finale is expected to evolve toward AI-powered homes, wearable tech, and immersive reality, aligning the ride once more with Walt’s vision of tomorrow.
