Ghost in Helix
Figure AI’s Helix doesn't just follow instructions. It interprets, adapts, and decides. As the brain of Figure 01 and powered by OpenAI’s language model, it reasons aloud, scans its environment, and executes with fluid motion. Earlier posts asked if AI was really thinking or just processing. With Helix’s dual system—reflexive control and high-level reasoning—we edge closer to that threshold. The phrase ghost in the machine, coined by Gilbert Ryle in 1949 to mock mind-body dualism, once served as critique. But Helix now answers with intent. That old metaphor starts to feel less like dismissal—and more like a question. Watch → Watch →
